Leanne is keeping a paper journal, maybe we'll scan in some of her pages from time to time.
The following are Larry's feeble ramblings.

Boston
Leanne's father had some heart issues, so we went to Boston for 2 ½ weeks.  He's doing really well now and we're back on the road.

11/6/02 through 11/23/02 - Boston/Braintree  We arrived at Boston Logan and took the express bus to Braintree.  Leanne's uncle picked us up and drove us to the house.  Leanne's father (Butch) had been released from the hospital the day before, and that's how he looked.  He steadily improved over the course of our stay and we had a nice time.  I did several projects around the house and got a chance to see a few friends.  After a follow up doctor's visit Butch seemed to be on the mend and we set out to resume our trip.

11/23/02 - Los Angeles  We took the express bus to Logan and flew nonstop to LA.  I had a couple of upgrade coupons so it was another misstep in exposing Leanne to the good life I am so unwilling to pay for.  We rented a car and met my brother and cousins at Canter's deli.  We spent the night at the Hollywood Roosevelt on Hollywood Blvd.

11/24/02 - Los Angeles  After some bike training at the gym (Vietnam bike trip in 4 days) we wandered over to the Cap Factory across the street which was coincidentally being closed today.  Trace was in from Boston and Stacey was up from San Diego.  I was sorry to see the store go, but it was great to see the guys.  We bruched with Brad at the nearby Mel's diner and then bummed around for the balance of the day.  The three of us had a nice Italian meal and we then caught our midnight flight to Taipei.  A mere 14 hour flight and we'll make our last connection to Ho Chi Minh City.
